Jason is deeply committed to the principles of love and abolition, believing that true justice can only be achieved through
compassion and systemic change. Jason’s journey has been shaped by the understanding that love is not just an
emotion but a powerful force for liberation.
He advocates for the dismantling of oppressive systems that harm marginalized communities, envisioning a world where all individuals are free to thrive without fear of violence or incarceration. By centering love in his activism, Jason aims to foster healing, connection, and solidarity, working towards
a future where justice is rooted in empathy
and collective care.
Lara Shepherd has been selected to serve as Eliza’s House volunteer Chief Inspiration Officer. Lara has 30 years of experience in People, Culture and Resources. With a background in speech communications, public relations, ministry and leadership, Lara has played a pivotal role in driving innovation, outreach, and fostering relationships within and around her community. Lara currently serves as Director of People, Culture and Resources at ConservIt, Inc., where she leads the company’s initiatives in fair chance hiring, employee training and development, inclusion, and other various people-first initiatives.
Previously, she held leadership positions at
Washington County Hospice, Loiederman Soltesz Associates, D.M. Bowman, Inc., and Walmart Stores, Inc.,/ Sam’s Club Division, where she led community partnerships and drove the people
initiatives for employers. A strong advocate for inclusion and acceptance, the resources for humans, and person-centric
conversations, Lara is committed to advancing Fair Chance Hiring and other reentry initiatives in our community, as well as advocating for fair housing and supportive resources.
Charese Jones (Seattle WA) is a locally recognized mentor. outreach specialist, and community engagement powerhouse with over 15 years helping those navigate basic needs such as housing, food, medical, transportation, and other community resources within justice systems affected and underrepresented communities. She is skilled in building strong partnerships, managing teams, and developing and implementing impactful community engagement strategies.
Tyra Graham is the Bookstore Manager at The Eliza's Apothecary and Collectibles, where she combines her love for organization, community, and storytelling. She holds a bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, reflecting her dedication to both structure and service.
Outside of work, Tyra is a proud mother to a wonderful daughter. Together, they enjoy spending time at the movies or exploring local parks, creating cherished memories in every moment.
With a passion for connecting people with meaningful books and treasures, Tyra brings heart and dedication to everything she does.
