VOLUNTEER

Lend Hands To Our Community Garden

Nestled within Eliza’s House, our community garden is more than a plot of land, it’s a living symbol of mutual aid, ecological stewardship, and collective well-being. Designed and maintained through collaborative efforts with residents, staff, and volunteers, this garden produces organic fruits, vegetables, and herbs that nourish unhoused individuals through our mobile food initiative. By integrating sustainable practices such as composting, rainwater harvesting, and native planting, the garden promotes climate resilience while addressing food insecurity with dignity and compassion.  We need hands to help our garden grow. Volunteer!

Our Approach

Eliza's Apothecary and Collectibles Bookstore

Book of the Month

Dr. Shawn Ginwright invites us to a bold, transformative journey with The Four Pivots: Reimagining Justice, Reimagining Ourselves. This essential work challenges us to rethink what justice means in our communities, organizations, and daily lives—and to act with courage, compassion, and clarity.

Why this book matters

In a time of persistent inequities, Ginwright offers a hopeful, action-oriented roadmap grounded in lived experience, community wisdom, and rigorous analysis.

It bridges theory and practice, helping readers move from awareness to accountability and from intention to sustainable impact.

The Four Pivots cultivate both personal growth and collective power, empowering readers to contribute to justice that is just for everyone.
